Argonatika Rigging

For Argonautika, I supervised several complex rigging projects, most notably the ship’s mast and sails. The mast needed to extend into the architectural steel for storage, which required connecting two line sets midair and adding structural supports to safely guide it through the opening. I also designed and operated the rigging for the ship’s sails; each mast supported three independently moving sails, controlled by six precise Austrian-style cue lines. These systems were engineered to accommodate frequent movements during the performance while ensuring the safety of the performers and a clean visual integration with the scenic design.
