Sponge-Bob Texture Carp Work
For SpongeBob the Musical, I created a coral texture to bring the underwater world to life. The unique material composition allowed for lightweight yet durable scenic elements that captured the organic flow and color of coral reefs while maintaining the cartoon-inspired energy of the show
The coral texture for SpongeBob the Musical was built from muslin stretched over chicken wire and layered with paper-mâché. I wanted the texture to feel whimsical and tactile, something that looked hand-made but alive, like the ocean itself had sculpted it.
The coral structures for SpongeBob the Musical transformed the stage into an underwater landscape bursting with texture. The result was a colorful, cartoon-inspired world that balanced playfulness with handcrafted detail.
